SMS Consent
SMS consent is always separate and optional. This page documents both ways a person can opt in: an unchecked web-form choice for business-access updates, or an exact verbal disclosure for consumer service-request updates.
Purpose
Transactional updates — not a marketing list.
1Dial helps customers contact local service providers, collect quotes, check availability, and coordinate appointments, and it gives businesses a way to request early access. People may separately choose transactional text updates related only to the request or program described when they opt in.
Web-form opt-in
A standalone choice for business-access updates.
- 01
The visitor opens the business waitlist
Name, work email, and company are collected for the waitlist request.
- 02
SMS remains off by default
The SMS checkbox loads blank and unchecked. A mobile number is required only if the visitor actively opts in.
- 03
The visitor makes a separate choice
Submitting the waitlist form does not require SMS consent. The visitor may join by email only.
- 04
Consent is recorded with the request
An affirmative checkbox selection is logged with the phone number, server timestamp, source, disclosure version, and exact disclosure shown.
“I agree to receive recurring automated transactional text messages from 1Dial about my business waitlist request, account access, and related customer-care updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.”
Review the live form at 1dial.ai/businesses#business-sms-opt-in. The Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions are linked immediately beside the checkbox.
The consent path
The complete verbal opt-in workflow
- 01
Customer calls 1Dial
The customer initiates a call and asks for help finding, comparing, or scheduling a local service provider.
- 02
Service request is collected
The customer shares the details of their request and may provide a mobile number for that request.
- 03
SMS disclosure is read separately
Before any text is sent, a 1Dial representative or automated voice assistant asks for SMS consent.
- 04
Customer says yes or no
Consent requires an affirmative yes or other clear agreement. A number alone is never consent.
- 05
The request continues
Yes: request-specific SMS updates are enabled. No or no clear answer: the request continues by phone, without SMS.
Read aloud before sending SMS
The exact spoken disclosure
“1Dial can send you text message updates about this service request, including providers contacted, quotes, availability, scheduling, appointment confirmations, and completion updates. Message frequency varies depending on your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, START to opt back in after opting out, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not required to purchase or use 1Dial’s service. Do you agree to receive these text messages from 1Dial?”
SMS is sent only after the customer responds “yes” or otherwise clearly agrees. If the customer declines, does not answer clearly, or ends the call before consenting, 1Dial does not send text messages.
